By default, Bark analyzes your child's iOS device every 3–6 hours depending on your setup. If you'd rather not wait, you can manually trigger an analysis anytime using the steps below.
- Log into the Bark dashboard or app.
- Tap your child's profile.
- Tap Devices at the top.
- Tap your child’s iOS device.
- Under Monitoring Devices, tap Analyze.
- Look at your child's device screen and if prompted, enter their lock screen passcode. If you're using the Bark Sync, this is taken care of automatically.
- Wait for the scan to finish.

Pro Tips
If using a Bark Sync
-
Talk to your child about Bark.
Remind them why using the Bark Sync to charge their iOS device is important. We have tips for that conversation. -
Make sure the Bark Sync is connected to Wi-Fi when your kid plugs in their iOS device.
- Check the status of the Bark Sync on your parent app / dashboard or in Bark Kids app > Sync. You can also check the LED lights on the Sync to verify Wi-Fi connectivity.
- If your child is traveling to a new location, they can connect Bark Sync to Wi-Fi by plugging in the iOS device into the Bark Sync, opening the Bark Kids app > Settings, and selecting the new Wi-Fi network.
If using a computer or Bark Home
- Double-check that your kid's device is turned on and connected to your home Wi-Fi.
- If it's still not connecting, try plugging it into your computer (or Bark Home).
- Away from home? Bark will analyze it the next time the device connects to your Wi-Fi network.
